About Me
I've been taking pictures for almost as long as I can remember. My father (Robert Hudson, Sr) was a serious hobbiest and the family photographer. He not only taught me the art and science of photography but made me realize how important it is to create a family history in photos. He did this by dragging my sister and me outside for photos every month.
To this day, my sister and I both treasure those photos.
When I was in the 10th grade I got serious about the craft. I worked at a local camera store all through high school and college and served as a staff photographer for the school paper and yearbook. It was during this time I started then to hone my skills at documentary and sports photography.
I've spent the past 25+ years as a freelance photographer shooting anything that I could: weddings, portraits, sports, news, etc. My photography has been published in newspapers and magazines all over the globe.
In the years since the decline of the editorial market I shifted my attention to family portraits and event photography; which, I believe, my journalism background gives me a unique angle on.
